For many years turmeric has proven to be very effective as a medicine, delicious spice, and thanks to its distinctive deep yellow-orange color as a dyer. This powerful spice originates from India and is made out of the curcuma’s root. The root is picked, bubbled, dried in very hot ovens and grounded into a fine powder.
Other Turmeric Benefits
Turmeric can be also very helpful when prepared as a mask in removing eczema, unwanted facial hair, acne, wrinkles, dark circles around the eyes, redness and soothes inflammation.
To prepare this amazing face mask you will need flour, almond oil, regular milk, turmeric, a bowl, a teaspoon and a tablespoon. Be extra careful when applying it because not only will it dye your clothes, it can remove your eyebrows and eyelashes. It is advisable to wear old clothes and gloves to protect your nails and fingers from being dyed.
How to prepare
First, mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric with 2 tablespoons of flour in a bowl. Then add one tablespoon of almond oil and enough milk (about 3-4 tablespoons) to make a paste that is neither too liquid nor too thick. Leave it on your face for 20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water and pat-dry your face with a soft towel. If your face appears yellowish after removing the mask then rinse again or use face cleanser and finish with applying a light lotion. Repeat for a week and the results will be amazing!
