The treating method of Johanna Budwig has been heavily criticized by many health experts, claiming it unrealistic and not suitable for the treatment of cancer.
The treatment is consisted of various dietary needs, and plenty of sun. Budwig believes that those are the essential components for the renewal of one’s body.
Dr. Andrew Weil criticized the Budwig diet, saying that cancer is just a wish.
Despite the major criticism, Budwig’s method has successfully treated 90 percent of various cancers in Germany, a total of 4500 suffering from cancer. Some of them were even terminal phase.
The remedy she offers is very simple. It includes only two kinds of food: cheese and linseed oil. To be more precise, it is consisted of quark and flaxseed oil. Quark is a white cheese with a crunchy texture, similar to ricotta, mainly used by the Scandinavian countries, the nations of the German-speaking countries, most in Eastern Europe.
Besides the food, the treatment also requires a lot of sun exposure and stress management.
