Women who use a solarium on average have six times bigger risk to suffer from malignant melanoma according to US scientists. This can be explained as due to increasing this deadly skin cancer among women, said the researchers from the University of Minnesota.
Professional clock “JAMA Dermatology” said that the risk is further increased in women who frequently use solarium. The information used in the study were collected from 681 adult person, which 70% are women diagnosed with the deadliest type of skin cancer.
Nearly 80% of women use solarium, compared to 44% of male patients, said Reuters.
