Apple Cider Vinegar Wash
Dilute a quarter cup of ACV in some warm water, and soak your feet into the solution. This will relieve the pain and discomfort.
Being a powerful antibacterial agent, you can apply it directly onto the wound to prevent an infection. Unfortunately, it cannot fight an existing bacterial infection.
Warm Bath With Epsom Salt
These can relieve irritations, soften nails, and disinfect the foot from bacteria. All you have to do is soak the foot in the lukewarm water with these salts for 20 minutes.
Make sure you keep your feet clean, because the affected area is vulnerable and core. Apply the antibiotic ointment regularly, and wrap it with a bandage to keep the toe sterile.
Floss or a Cotton Ball
Relieve the pressure between the nail and the painful toe by applying a cotton ball or a floss. Use tweezers to lift up the nail and then carefully place a sterile cotton ball underneath. Make sure the nail is comfortable above it.
