24-Hour Cranberry Salad


Here’s my family’s favorite cranberry salad for the holidays! It is great…we aren’t cranberry “lovers” but we love this salad….if you, or others you know, are wary of cranberry recipes, I’d highly recommend that you try this salad!


  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed and coarsely chopped
  • 3 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 3/4 cup sugar **
  • 2 cups chopped apple (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1 cup seedless grapes
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup whipping cream, whipped

** 1/4 cup honey could be used (might need more or less than 1/4 cup)

Preparing instructions:

  1. In large bowl, combine cranberries, marshmallows and sugar (or honey).
  2. Cover: refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Add apples, grapes, and walnuts. Fold in whipped cream. Refrigerate.
  3. Garnish if desired.
  4. Serves a large crowd.
