Basic rules of the diet

  • All the food from the list should be consumed without skipping and they should be consumed in the order they are given. The food should be eaten one after another and they should not be mixed.
  • During this diet you should not consume alcohol.
  • The meat and the vegetables should be boiled in water spiced with broth cube.

Duration and results

The first cycle of the diet lasts for five days. The sixth and the seventh day you will be on a break, and then if it is necessary, you will start a new five-day cycle. The diet promises weight loss by 2-5 kg during the first five days.

For more weight loss it is recommended to keep the diet for 15 days, i.e. 3 cycles. That means five days on a diet, two days on a break, five days on a diet, two days on a break, and five days on a diet. Do not keep this diet for more than 15 days!

For 15 days, the diet promises a weight loss of 10-15 kg.

After the diet

In the period when you are done with the diet it is recommended to avoid grease food, pastries and sugar. In addition, once a week (e.g., Monday) you should detox your body. The menu for that day should be:

Breakfast:

  • Glass of water with juice of one drained lemon

Lunch:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 toast

Dinner:

  • 1 boiled egg
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 toast

Disadvantages of the diet

  1. It is predicted to consume too little calories. During the diet every day are imported much less than the recommended 1,200 calories. (1,200 is the minimum number of calories that women should enter daily). Therefore, it may appear tiredness, lack of energy and nervousness.
  2. It is recommended to consume the food one after another, in a particular order. This causes many people to give up on certain food and do not import them (for example, many people find it difficult to eat only tomatoes so they skip it).
  3. There are no restrictions for the two days of break, so some people eat more, just to recover from the past five days. The cycle of starvation during the working week, overeating during the weekend and again starvation is a shock for the body.
  4. The diet brings a risk of yo-yo effect. The rapid weight loss can lead to even faster obesity after the diet, known as the yo-yo effect. After the diet, you should not return to the old way of nutrition, but you should increase your intake of fruits and vegetables and to minimize the consumption of greasy fast food towards not to restore the lost weight.
  5. It is not recommended to have a physical activity.

Advantages of the diet

  1. It promises quick results;
  2. Two days a week are free days when you can relax both physically and mentally to prepare for the next cycle, of course, if it is needed;
  3. It does not need much time for preparing the food;
  4. It is not expensive.

Note!!!

Although the diet is called “medical” it should not be understood automatically like it is recommended and approved by doctors! The diet does not contain the conditions of what it means healthy and balanced diet for the average active person, mainly because of the small number of calories that are imported.

The diet was popularized as “medical” probably because, apparently it is applied to the patients with heart disease who before surgery should lose weight.
