Berries and oatmeal

Berries are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, while oatmeal contains iron and vitamin B besides fiber. The vitamin C increases iron absorption and the water from the berries can actually help your body to process the fiber. Sprinkle a handful of raspberries or blueberries in your oatmeal every morning with some cinnamon and your whole body will be thankful.

Lemon and kale

Fresh lemon juice goes great on a variety of greens, again because the vitamin C helps your iron absorption. That’s why adding lemon in kale salad is a win-win, or you can as well squeeze the juice onto asparagus just before or after cooking, and even a burst of citrus in your green smoothie can help your digestion.

Adzuki beans and raspberries

Traditionally used in Japanese meals, adzuki beans paired with raspberries can actually boost the amount of antioxidants that your body absorbs from them separately.

Fish and turmeric

Not only does it tastes wonderful, this combination will protect you from cancer.
