Doctor Broda Barnes discovered that our body temperature is a legit indicator of the function of our thyroid gland. The test which will help you check your thyroid gland is quite simple.

If you are ever in doubt that there’s something wrong with your thyroid gland, you don’t have to rush into making hormonal analyses. First, test yourself at home.

We can say that the illnesses that attack the thyroid gland are like the black plague in modern times, especially when it comes to women. Thyroid function disorders can cause various complications with the heart, metabolism, body weight, etc..

Besides the regular hormone check-ups that doctors advise, there’s one more way to check whether your thyroid gland functions well.

Doctor Broda Barnes discovered that our body temperature is a legit indicator of the function of our thyroid gland. The test which will help you check your thyroid gland is quite simple.

Before bedtime, take your thermometer, shake it well and leave it on the nightstand next to our bed. The next morning, right after you wake up put the thermometer under your armpit and take your temperature. After ten minutes, take it out and write down the results. The result Is also known as “early morning basal temperature”. The normal temperature is between 36.5 and 36.8 C°

Due to diseases, and ovulation, the temperature may vary, so it is recommended to do the test when you are completely healthy and right after the menstrual cycle.

If your temperature is between 36.5 and 36.8 C° – your thyroid gland works fine.

If your temperature is below 36.5 C° – you’re experiencing hypothyreosis, or your thyroid gland isn’t working with its full capacity. The symptoms are depression, lack of energy, fatigue, infections, chronic headaches, lack of concentration and memory issues, hair loss, etc.

If your temperature is above 36.8 C° – you’re experiencing hyperthyreosis, meaning your thyroid gland is working too fast, or there’s an infection.

For more accurate results, it is recommended to do the test during three consecutive days.
