It’s been scientifically proven that there is a link between chronic stress and numerous emotional and physical disorders, like nausea, stroke, heart attack, weak immune system, vomiting, anxiety, high blood pressure, depression, and many other serious conditions.

Stress is inevitable part of our modern day lives, which brings us to increased risk of many ailments. That’s why it is very important to learn how to manage your stress in order to keep your body healthy.

There are many methods which help in reducing stress like meditation, yoga, exercise, music, and massage. There are, however, some less known and unconventional methods, like the ancient Japanese self-relaxation technique that’s been proven to be very effective. You can practice it anywhere and it will take only 5 minutes of your time.

According to this technique, every finger is linked to a different feeling or emotion:

  • The Thumb can help you treat worry and anxiety.
  • The Index finger will help you in overcoming fears.
  • The Middle finger regulates feelings of bitterness and rage.
  • The Ring finger treats depression and melancholy.
  • The Little finger manages stress, supports optimism, and boosts self-esteem.

This technique will balance the opposing energy forces in the body. Just grasp one finger at a time, and wrap the next finger around it. Hold finger for one to two fingers until you feel the pulse. To relax, gently press the center of the palm with the thumb of the other hand and hold for a minute.

Not only will this technique bring you the wanted relaxation, it will also balance your spirit, and manage stress. Below is a video where it’s shown how to practice this amazing method:
